Type : News - Electrification

Canada is currently undergoing a significant shift towards electric mobility, a crucial development to reduce our environmental footprint. To accelerate this movement, various levels of government are offering a plethora of financial incentives. However, with the diversity of available programs, navigating them can be complex. This is where our experts at Bectrol step in. We are here to guide you through the subsidy application process, optimizing financial support for your electrification projects. Today, we present in detail the seven main subsidy programs, so you can efficiently navigate this crucial opportunity.

Roulez Vert Program

Target Audience: Consumers

Description: The Roulez Vert program, offered by the Quebec government, provides rebates of up to $7,000 in 2024 for the purchase of new or used electric vehicles, as well as for the acquisition and installation of home or workplace charging stations. The provincial Minister of Finance, Mr. Eric Girard, recently unveiled a plan to gradually reduce the incentives offered under the Roulez Vert program. According to this announcement, the amount will be reduced to $4,000 in 2025, then to $2,000 in 2026, before completely phasing out in 2027. This means that now more than ever is the opportune time to take advantage of these generous incentives before they disappear.

The Private Sector Support Program for the Deployment of Public Fast Charging Stations

Target Audience: Private businesses

Description: The Private Sector Support Program for the deployment of public fast charging stations provides financial assistance to private companies for the purchase and installation of public direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations. The program aims to achieve the government target of 2 million registered electric vehicles by 2030, by facilitating and accelerating the introduction of electric vehicles in Quebec while reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector. Eligible companies can benefit from a subsidy covering up to 80% of expenses, with amounts ranging from $125,000 to $225,000 for the installation of stations ranging from 100 kW to 200 kW and higher.
